Why myCatalyst® model?

We wanted to make a bid to LEGI that was compelling and different to anybody else's and recognise what was good about Leeds. The proposal to have physical centres in our target neighbourhoods was different. It's the partnership at the heart of this.  Supporting initiatives by social entrepreneurs and recognising that social entrepreneurship is better supported by entrepreneurs and not councils.  That independence is important.

Why Camberwell?

The organisation is entrepreneurial as a business, intelligent and thought provoking.

What results have you seen?

In a hugely challenging area such as Seacroft, there is now a local business network of people actively starting their enterprises.  

What would you say about how Camberwell have done?

I am constantly surprised at how good they are.  I started out with preconceived ideas of consultants, and everything they have said they would do, they have done - and it's even better than they said.
