4th July Fundraising Success
Thursday, July 23, 2009
On the train home, having just completed the London Marathon on behalf of
Leonard Cheshire Disability, Todd Hannula and Martin Brockett came up with their second idea to raise money for the cause.
The 4th July Fundraiser was born. The date was set a venue was decided and preparations began. Decorated with red, white and blue balloons, flags, bunting and a live Statue of Liberty, Shine looked amazing.
The evening was non-stop. Guests were treated to a Champagne reception, a four-course dinner, courtesy of Yorkshires Barbecue King Andy Annat and drinks from Mark and his team from the Black Swan at Burn Bridge. There were goodie bags, a raffle, a live band and lots of dancing, meaning the evening ran until well past midnight.
The event was a huge success and well over 1500 pounds was raised.
Thanks for supporting us.
